External Email - Use Caution Hello, I’m attempting to download FSFAST on my non-MGH computer using the instructions here (http://secure-web.cisco.com/1n4qrYftNmBzlQYL-31wPAegOcrSfYRBH8975kyPjOBIYuy…) however I’m not able to follow the following step: ftp> cd pub/flat/fmri-analysis due to the directory “flat” not appearing. When I ls into the “pub” directory I can only see the following contents: articles data dist docs lost+found misc optseq projects security Could you let me know if the directory “flat” still exists, and if so how to access it? If not, could you please verify the location of “fmri-analysis”? Thank you! Emily

External Email - Use Caution The link to msg 74015 did not work for me in the freesurfer mail list archive, so I don’t know how that relates to what you are inquiring about.   But the freesurfer Intel Mac binaries generally run (automatically) using the built-in Rosetta emulation environment provided with M1/M2 silicon Macs.   Not clear to me what you are trying to do that would prevent you from running the Intel binaries. -R. I just checked with the University IT, unfortunately FreeSurfer v7.4 and v7.3 requires Centos7.X + above, whereas the Artemis HPC operating system at my university is based on Centos 6.9, therefore I won’t be able to try the latest versions. But it ends up with the errors of MRInormFindControlPoints: could not find enough control points The .nii file I am using is the volume of Desikan (https://secure-web.cisco.com/1oAobD21AB7j6CTjrLH5TvgaAb42Ta0SmXExD6UJ8gzF1Y…) I’m using FS v7.1.1, macOS Ventura 13.4. Export surface files to 3D Model including the annotation

External Email - Use Caution Dear freesurfer experts, I want to create 3D models (fbx or ply file) of the pial files including the annotation/coloring that is loaded. I tried to use mris_convert to make the pial file that was saved with the annotation to convert the surface into a 3D model however the mris_convert command doesn't seem to work for fbx and ply (stl works fine, but I heard stl doesn't save color information). [FreeSurfer] Process terminated when talairach was running

It exited with error when talairach was running - it indicated "MINC_BIN_DIR: Undefined variable". The log file is attached to this email. I tried to look up the directory, which contains MINC_BIN_DIR as indicated on the <https://secure-web.cisco.com/1Yi_rx3_ryx7Z_5U9Ro-U7Ztjy451lAhdmjzkMKbcgnaOr…> forum <https://secure-web.cisco.com/1Yi_rx3_ryx7Z_5U9Ro-U7Ztjy451lAhdmjzkMKbcgnaOr…> .
