The Behavioral Neuroscience Laboratory, led by Dr. Suzanne Corkin in the Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT, is seeking a highly motivated person to join a laboratory examining the changes in brain structure and cognition that occur in healthy aging and age-related degenerative disease. The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of neuroimaging research, including study design, participant recruitment and screening, data acquisition and processing, statistical analysis, and publication; and have primary responsibility for lab computer systems, networks, and data storage. This position is ideal for those considering future graduate or medical studies. REQUIREMENTS: strong organizational skills and proficiency with programming/scripting (e.g., MATLAB, Python, csh/tcsh/bash) and Linux/UNIX operating systems. Demonstrated interest and/or experience in neuroscience preferred, as is familiarity with Mac OS X systems and end-user computer support. Should be comfortable working with research participants of all ages, including patients with neurodegenerative disease. Must be able to obtain certification to operate critical research equipment (MRI/MEG scanners). A one-year commitment is requested, with a possibility for continued employment thereafter. I think this may have been something that other people have figured out, and I would be grateful to know how. In the past week if I try to run autorecon-2 it fails. Running each individual command that make up autorecon-2 it would seem that the error is with the final stage (-cortribbon). The message this generates reads as: mris_volmask --label_left_white 2 --label_left_ribbon 3 --label_right_white 41 --label_right_ribbon 42 --save_ribbon --save_distance avC06-1 mris_volmask.bin: error while loading shared libraries: libGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Linux jalapeno25.fmrib.ox.ac.uk 2.6.18-53.1.14.el5 #1 SMP Wed Mar 5 11:37:38 EST 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux recon-all exited with ERRORS How can I get around this? cortical thickness

Hi, After I ran the qdec and analyzed my data(cortical thickness). I have two questions. First, after I display a plot of the data for a particular vertex by left-clicking on a point while holding down the Ctrl key, it shows a plot and its plot window shows this vertex's surface coordinates. What model is the surface coordinates used? Second, after analyzing the thickness, it shows the color bar's scale in p-value. How do I do to change the scale from p-value to mm? .
