Hi, yes, this release should fix the glibc problem on fedora 18 and hopefully unbuntu 13 as well. If you have a chance to exercise all of it (run recon-all on a subject, and run the guis like tkmedit, tksurfer, freeview and qdec) that would be a big help prior to our official release after testing.

Hi, Nick. Recently, you sent me a test version of tkmedit to test under Fedora 18 to address the glibc problem. That tkmedit worked great and you said we would have a new version of the whole package in brief. Is this 5.3 BETA the versio addressing this glibc problem? the centos6_x86_64 build is there now. the others will appear as they finish their builds, which can take quite a bit of time... so check back every day or so....
