Post-Doctoral Scholar in Mental Health Research
Department of Psychology at University of Calgary, Calgary, Canada invites application for a post-doctoral fellowship beginning in Fall/Winter 2014 (start date depends on individual requirements) to work with Dr. Vina Goghari, PhD, R.Psych.
The scholar will become a part of a research laboratory, which focuses on elucidating the biological bases of dysfunction in schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Our laboratory brings together multiple methodologies, including structural and functional MRI, behavioural genetics (i.e., family studies), cognitive and affective experimental psychology, and clinical assessment. The position will in part involve working with a team on a grant investigating neuroimaging and blood markers in bipolar disorder. The person will also become part of the larger mental health and neuroscience community including the Mathison Centre for Mental Health and Education and Hotchkiss Brain Institute.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in clinical, cognitive, or biological psychology or a related field focusing on mental health or neuroimaging. Knowledge and experience working with psychological disorders and/or neuroimaging is an asset; however, individuals wanting to transition to that field are also encouraged to apply.
