I see. Well, given that the original parcels aren't equal in size (they are gyri) the final ones will not be either. Each subdivision within a parcel will be approximately equal in size to the other subdivisions within that same parcel though

Then, I ran this command: mris_divide_parcellation test lh aparc.annot splitfile.txt lh.aparc.split And splitfile is a 2-column file I myself made based on the FreeSurFerColorLUT.txt's content according to the description in "mris_divide_parcellation --help".
