This error appears if using the 'development' version of Freesurfer available within the MGH NMR Center. The problem was fixed this weekend, and you will need to re-'source' your Freesurfer environment.
Also, the 'stable' build is recommended for NMR Center users, unless there is a specific feature in 'dev' that needs testing. To use the 'stable' build within the NMR Center:
source /usr/local/freesurfer/nmr-std-env
Reminder: It is particularly important to use the 'stable' build if using Freesurfer to process subject data in a study, as the 'dev' build changes without notice quite often (as upcoming features are incorporated and tested within the NMR Center). The 'dev' build is not distributed publicly.

Hi, While attempting to preprocess a subjects data I am given an error message (pasted below) as the motion correction step is implemented does anyone have an idea of what the libvnl_algo.so file is and where it may be located? I am not sure why it cannot be loaded. Thanks in advance for the help!
