Hi Nam,
the topology fixing computational complexity goes as the square of the size of the largest defect, which means it is very fast for small ones and very slow for big ones. However, this long it certainly too long. Probably means either the cerebellum is attached or the skull is attached somewhere. Look at your inflated surfaces and make sure they are only cortex, otherwise manually disconnect them in the wm volume.
cheers, Bruce

Hi happy new year everybody,
"fix topology" in Freesurfer takes 57 hours on my machine, which has a speed of 1 GHz and RAM of 1 Gbytes, a pretty fast machine.
57 hours sounds TOO long for me; other processes take less than an hour. Does it sound OK, or something wrong?
Any comments are appreciated.
