Hi Max,
if you create a file named something.asc in the format:
<vertex #> <x> <y> <z> <val>
where there is one vertex for each point on the surface, then this can be read in place of the thickness file with the -t switch (i.e. -t something.asc). Note that everything except the <val> field will be ignored in this context, and vertex 0 will be assigned the val from the 1st entry in the file, etc....
cheers, Bruce

Hi everybody,
Currently, we can use mris_anatomical_stats to report statistics such as thickness +/- std. dev. over the list of brain regions, as created by the parcellate_subject program.
We are wondering if it is currently possible to produce similar statistics, but not just on thickness, etc., but also on data that we can supply externally.
For example, we can create a file that contains a list of nodes and corresponding data values. Is it possible to have the mris_anatomical_stats program create statistics on a region-by-region basis from our supplied data?
Thanks a lot for your help
