Try this: Click on the "brain with scissors icon" ("Cut"), select the points, then hit "Cut Closed Line". Now,  make sure the cursor is in the patch you want to keep, then hit "Fill Uncut Area"

Hello, I need to cut the occipital pole in order to make a retinotopy analysis. I read that tksurfer no more exists, and with freeview I only succeed in cutting the plane but I'm having trouble with separating it into a patch with the occipital part only. Do you know if there is a way to do this? Thanks! Noam
