would like to be sure that your comments in relation to the T2-space-flair sequence and not the typical clinical TSE-FLAIR. is that the case?

Currently, the T2 and FLAIR flags do exactly the same thing, so it doesn’t even matter what flag you use. I think it depends on what else you might want to do with the data (i.e. if myelin maps were important to your study you might go with T2w (like HCP), but if lesion detection were more important you might go with FLAIR (like biobank).
