Hello,
New to freesurfer using Linux (successfully reconstructed several images on a mac) - can you help me determine how to correct the error in this attached attempt at a recon?
Many thanks,
Linette
Hello Linette,
You are getting the dreaded mri_nu_correct.mni correct. This error occurs when using freesurfer version 5.3 on newer linux platforms. This issue has been fixed in the latest release of freesurfer (v6.0) which I recommend you download and install.

Thank you for this helpful response!
One follow-up question - I realize that images should be processed using the same version and OS. For my current study, all images but one have been processed on a previous version of FreeSurfer and it will not be possible for me to process this one remaining image in the same way. I realize this situation is not ideal, but am now wondering what remaining options might be best:
Option 1 - drop this image from my study (which would be unfortunate given the expense associated with collecting the data!)
Option 2 - reconstruct this image using the new version of FreeSurfer (and acknowledge this in my paper) - and if I go this route, should I reconstruct the pre-intervention image of this same brain on this new version of FreeSurfer (and re-run the longitudinal processing stream for this one brain).
I guess I'm asking how serious it really is to use a different version of FreeSurfer for one participant in the longitudinal stream?
Thanks for your help,
Linette
