The following change at line 188 of "freesurfer/bin/longmc" fixes it (case-sensitive issue in "$concatLtas"):

set ud = `UpdateNeeded $origvol $CrossList $concatLtas --> set ud = `UpdateNeeded $origvol $CrossList $ConcatLtas`
