Is there a detailed description somewhere of how the gray matter volume values are calculated for the aparc stats files?
Also, is the average thickness weighted by area?
Hi Don, the average thickness is not weighted by vertex area. The volume computation is relatively simple: the volume of a vertex is computed as the thickness * the average area of the triangles that are adjacent to the vertex.
