[Freesurfer] mri_surf2vol in fsaverage space

Dear Freesurfers,

I am trying to export the cortical thickness maps in nifti format using the mri_surf2vol command. Is it possible to get these output files in the fsaverage space (1x1x1 mm3) instead of the native space.
