It looks like a lot of signal outside the head. I can't tell how intense it is, but that could easily throw off the registration

Dear to FreeSurfer expert,
Thank you for your suggestion. I tried inputting below command but it said that no wm found... so I took out --surf orig, still nothing showed up.
tkregisterfv --s tal_before --fstal --surf orig
Because of that, I used tkregister2 instead for another attempt.
The T1 and FLAIR images look fine to me. Below are the screenshots for your reference:
*_T1.nii_* _*FLAIR.nii*_
Please kindly advise. Thank you.
Yours sincerely, Krystal

Does the volume look ok? No artifacts or major pathology? Also, you can use tkregisterfv instead of tkregister -- it is a nicer interface

Dear FreeSurfer experts,
I am encountering the error below:
ERROR: talairach_afd: Talairach Transform: transforms/talairach.xfm ***FAILED*** (p=0.0000, pval=0.0000 < threshold=0.0050)
As suggested, I have visited the website and followed these steps (*MailScanner has detected a possible fraud attempt from "secure-web.cisco.com" claiming to be* https://surfer.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/fswiki/FsTutorial/Talairach https://secure-web.cisco.com/1sysqwtJ3yrcNBi951zfg6ki_eIkKSA8LC8npRZ7GbT_BfH8OW6r5mmYKrW2ROV76nVTVEFP0hPFtm9B8h_EPWyQciP5oQw7Lsdtc1saFDPy_JVaRph39xsR5BpGLVZT2LO-0QjtSQAWyEz-QqjXwCTjwaF0S229M4eQO7TnQV9IrPQ8sV2OvouXxzNLTbK6WNzVCYbiViPfv_x-SLHp-k3flCVVV98dF_a0MXplKBtmwKEBYa5cf5sGsXGNSKPgYo0_XlHl2k1sK_hxz24lMKxc30ESkSSUeXg7eK_QQDmESjh5tfF-eb70eYqnqUVGN9T9bDNNuvGJw0r8x0XqFnA/https%3A%2F%2Fsurfer.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu%2Ffswiki%2FFsTutorial%2FTalairach). However, I cannot move the bars as indicated; plus, there are no T1.mgz generated and the surf folder is empty.
Much appreciated if anyone could advise. Thank you very much,
Regards, Krystal
