don't know. That is not an fsfast problem. Are you using some virtual connection?
No... I'm using local computer where Freesurfer is locally installed. When I ran mkcontrast-sess, x terminal got filled with repeated messages, so I can't see what triggered this error.
## Invalid capturehandle provided. No capture device associated with this handle !!! Error in function : Usage error Invalid capturehandle provided. No capture device associated with this handle !!! Error in function : Usage error Invalid capturehandle provided. No capture device associated with this handle !!! ... .. . -----
mkcontrast-sess.log doesn't give much information. ## mkcontrast-sess log file $Id: mkcontrast-sess,v 1.13.2.2 2010/07/21 17:14:38 greve Exp $ $0 Darwin Yukos-iMac.local 10.5.0 Darwin Kernel Version 10.5.0: Fri Nov 5 23:20:39 PDT 2010; root:xnu-1504.9.17~1/RELEASE_I386 i386 Thu Nov 25 18:53:37 JST 2010 -analysis VMfwhm5lh -contrast test -a 1 -c 0 -rmprestim -log tes /Applications/freesurfer/fsfast/bin/mkcontrast
When I got similar errors from selxavg3-sess, its log file says the following. ## INTERNAL PSYCHTOOLBOX ERROR error: PsychError_internal general description: Unspecified error, probably a Psychtoolbox bug specific description: CGGetActiveDisplayList failed to enumerate displays module name: Screen subfunction call: file name: /Users/kleinerm/projects/OpenGLPsychtoolbox/trunk/PsychSourceGL/Projects/MacOSX/PsychToolbox/../../../Source/OSX/Screen/PsychScreenGlue.c function name: InitCGDisplayIDList line number: 124 Invalid capturehandle provided. No capture device associated with this handle !!! Error in function : Usage error Invalid capturehandle provided. No capture device associated with this handle !!! Error in function : Usage error Invalid capturehandle provided. No capture device associated with this handle !!! ... .. .
So I'm suspecting mkcontrast-sess encountered the similar problem, but I can't confirm.
So, here are my two questions. 1) How can I save the whole error message in mkcontrast-sess.log file? 2) Am I the only person seeing these strange error messages with Mac OS X? Anyone??

Hi,
I'm having a java-related error with mkcontrast-sess. Are there any trick to get around this error?

Looks like a problem with java as discussed here:

I've updated java, and got the same error.
