Could anyone please tell me what is the name of the image file after talairach registration for instance like nu.mgz (after intensity correction).

Hi Venkateswaran,
we don't apply the tal xform,just compute it (in mri/transforms/talairach.xfm), so there is no volume "after talairach".

Thanks Dr.Bruce, one small clarification then, it is mentioned in the user manual to verify this registration result before proceeding further so when i used tkregister2 --sub2 --fstal-avi i could see two images one is the original and the other one talairach atlas and they looked they are aligned almost closely. So what is this image i looked at?

tkregister2 applies the transform to the native volume and displays (but doesn't save a transformed volume to disk)
